It's been awhile since I remembered to update this. I haven't had time to update the backlog page, but I bought a bunch of PC games. I bought all the Splinter Cell titles (except Pandora Tomorrow, which wasn't available) during a Steam sale. I also picked up the Capcom Humble Bundle. That gave me a bunch of the Resident Evil games, which, just like the Splinter Cells, I already owned on console. At the moment, instead of playing just one title, I'm switching between three. Grand Theft Auto IV, Resident Evil 5, and Splinter Cell Blacklist. All of which I've beaten multiple times. I'm the sort of idiot who replays games I've beaten more than once while putting off playing a bunch of games I haven't played yet. (Some of the console titles are still in the shrink wrap!)
I finally finished watching Robotics;Notes as well as watching Terminator Genisys, which while not great, wasn't as bad as everybody made it out to be.

I got a notice last week that I've got jury duty in January. I live in a city with a high crime rate, so that makes jury duty twice as unappealing. I can only hope that we have a blizzard that day so I don't have to go.
I plowed through nineteen movies last week. I've still got a massive movie and TV backlog to get through.
My birthday is in a few days. After that it's the holidays and the grind to make sure I've got not only enough money to cover my bills, but to buy Christmas presents too. I'll have to force myself to ignore any Black Friday sales or any sort of Steam holiday sales.

I'm still playing Metal Gear Solid V, although I'm not playing as obssessively. I'm at 81% complete, but I've long since beaten the actual story part of the game. All that's left is stuff like getting S-rankings, collecting all of the animals, and unlocking a handful of achievements. I'm about ready to move on to another game while still checking in to MGSV from time to time.

As I write this, I'm 114 hours into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. That's nearly five entire days of my life. On top of that, I'm still only 71% done with the game. I'll say this, I'm definitely getting my $60 worth.
Pretty psyched that the fall TV season is here. New episodes of The Flash start next week.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has stolen my life. Please send help. As I write this, I'm 51 hours in and only at around 31% completion.

The patch for the PC version Batman: Arkham Knight came out late Thursday night. I've invested 37 hours of my life into the game so far. It's not as good as my favorite game in the series, Arkham City, and the Bat-mobile parts are annoying and awful. Sadly, the Bat-mobile is needed for about 80% of the game. I'm on pace to 100% the game, as I'm already over 80% finished.

I'm holding off on getting Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Mostly because I'm a bit broke at the moment. Plus, I've got a bunch of other games to play. I've already read the spoilers pre-release date anyway, so I'm not that hyped up about the game. This is coming from someone who bought a PS2 just so I could play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. (I had a PS2 that had broken about a year before and not too many games for it, so I was content to just mainly game on the original Xbox until MGS3 came out.) I'll still be gaming a bit within the series: I just picked up Ground Zeroes for $8 the other day, and that should have enough replay value to last me for a bit. Plus I still haven't played Peace Walker, which I have on PS3 in the HD collection.
In the meantime, I finished off the Dishonored DLC.
On an unrelated note, I'm not sure how I feel about the current version of this site. I'm never happy with any web projects I have.

I finished off Dead Rising 3's DLC, the Untold Stories missions. Then I plowed through the Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea DLC. Burial At Sea did a pretty good job of tying all the games together, but had a really depressing ending. I started Metro 2033 Redux after that. I'm not too into it yet, but sometimes the best games get better after the first few hours, so I'm going to tough it out.
I kind of mock the current console generation for having almost no new games and all HD remasters of the previous console generation's games... so what do I do? I keep rebuying my console library on PC, which is almost the same thing! 12 out of the 21 PC games I own right now are rebuys from consoles (mostly PS3). Today, I picked up the first three Batman: Arkham games for $5 each.
Other than that, I'm in the midst of re-watching Deadwood. I almost forgot how much swearing that show has. I'd say at least 90% of the times I've ever heard the word "cunt" spoken in my life were on that show.

Holy shit, Dead Rising 3 is fun as hell. I'm 37 hours in, and between the main game and DLC, I still haven't completed everything. Then I realized that I spent over an entire day of my life pretending to run around in a speedo with a sombero, hacking up zombies with mini-chainsaws and wondered about the meaning of life. Then I remembered I'm shallow and went back to enjoying running down zombies with a motorcycle with a steamroller and flamethrower attached to the front of it.
I picked up Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Tomb Raider for $5 each, even though I already had both for the PS3. PC game prices are insanely good if you can wait.
